Update from the Solid Waste Task Force (SWTF)

Executive Summary (General Business): Councilman Pickett, serving as a liaison to the Solid Waste Task Force has requested that the newly appointed Chairperson and/or Vice Chairperson provide an update to the City Council on the first two task force meetings that took place on October 14th and October 28th.
Presentation Information: Council Member Pickett may introduce the item, followed by a staff update from Carmen Capezzuto, Director of Neighborhood Services. Both the Chair and Vice Chair will be in attendance and may provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Request that the Council hear the updates from the Solid Waste Task Force and provide any feedback.
Background: The City Council authorized the creation of a Solid Waste Task Force on October 11, 2021 via Resolution. After the first two meetings, the task force will be meeting monthly along with providing monthly updates to the City Council either in person or in writing. This presentation is the first of those updates.
Issues/Analysis: Monthly updates to the City Council have been planned to ensure the SWTF is keeping the Council informed and in agreement with the direction of the task force.
