6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Officer safety, providing faster response times that are critical to public safety. Refreshing laptops every three years keeps repair time and cost to repair down, provides new battery life and up to date hardware and security.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): $931,961.25 over three-year period.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve renewing a three-year lease with Dell Financial Services for Dell Rugged Laptop computers.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve renewing a three-year lease with Dell Financial Services for Dell Rugged Laptop Computers.
2. Move that the Council not renew the three-year lease with Dell Financial Service for Dell Rugged Laptop Computers and provide staff direction.
Background: This lease agreement is being utilized to replace rugged laptop computers for law enforcement. The original master lease agreement was established in 2011. This is the 8th renewal of the master lease agreement.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the lease proposal and finds that Dell provides the best value for the City.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated for FY 2024: 001-2105-544300-00000.
