3. Purpose: To amend Contract #20240112 for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Services for Torino Regional Park Phase 1, establishing a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and timeline for construction.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: The initial term began on November 12, 2024, through December 11, 2025. Amendment #1 extends the Contract for an additional six hundred ninety (690) days through November 1, 2027 (Substantial Completion Date).
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Hiring a CMAR for Torino Regional Park Phase 1 has maximized project efficiency, cost control, and quality assurance, reducing risks commonly associated with large-scale municipal projects. With Burkhardt as the CMAR in place, the City has a project partner responsible for mitigating unexpected costs, adhering to the community-driven master plan, and ensuring timely project completion. Burkhardt has worked closely with City staff and the design team to provide early insight into the design, risks, and construction requirements, allowing for proactive planning, better forecasting, tighter cost and schedule control, and a smoother more coordinated construction phase.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $33,911,015.16 inclusive of a 2% owner's contingency for a new Contract total of $34,074,035.16.
