Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)
1. Prepared by: City of Port St. Lucie Neighborhood Services and St. Lucie County Community Services Department
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie Neighborhood Services and St. Lucie County Community Services Department
3. Purpose: The execution of the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program funded by grant money from the US Department of the Treasury.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New
5. Duration: Agreement and program set to expire December 31, 2020.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: All residents will be able to apply for rental assistance and eviction help through one centralized website that the City worked on with the County and other county municipalities in 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, www.recoverstlucie.org . All information will be available in one location, the application process will be the same for the entire County and the combined resources will provide a stronger, more coherent resource and information center and phone bank.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): None, the program is funded by the US Department of the Treasury ERA grant that the City was awarded as a result of the COVID-19 Economic Relief Bill.
