Executive Summary (General Business): The City desires to transfer approximately 21.733 acres of property to Mattamy Palm Beach, LLC ("Mattamy) with a restriction that said property be conveyed to the St. Lucie County School Board in furtherance of the Amended and Restated Educational Facilities Impact Fee Credit Agreement between Mattamy Palm Beach, LLC, and the School Board of St. Lucie County for the Southern Grove Development of Regional Impact ("Southern Grove DRI").
Presentation Information: Staff will be available to answer questions upon request.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council complete a motion in the affirmative and authorize conveyance of the property to Mattamy.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and complete a motion in the affirmative and authorize conveyance of the property to Mattamy.
2. Move that the Council not approve conveyance of the property to Mattamy and provide direction.
Background: Two School Sites are required to be conveyed to the St. Lucie County School Board by the master developer, Mattamy, pursuant to the requirements set forth in that certain Amended and Restated Educational Facilities Impact Fee Credit Agreement for the Southern Grove DRI. One of the school sites is currently owned by the City, however, the property has always been planned to be a school site, including at the time that the GFC and City took title to the property.
