Executive Summary (General Business): Discuss the Adventure Park design concept as prepared by Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.

Presentation Information: Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., will provide a brief design concept presentation for the Adventure Park with City Council. City staff will be in attendance to answer questions.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve moving forward with a concept design and construction phasing recommendation provided by Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and move forward with a design and construction phasing inclusive of revisions to the Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. conceptual site plan.
2. Move that the Council not approve the proposed conceptual site plans and provide staff with further direction.

Background: An Adventure Park has been requested by the residents of Port St. Lucie and has been noted via the citizen survey as a desired amenity for the City. The proposed location for the park is located at 1501 SW Cameo Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL, and spans 38.93 acres.

The City's adopted Strategic Plan, Goal 6, Culture Nature and Fun Activities includes the planning and construction of the Adventure Park. The City of Port St. Lucie sought proposals from qualified consulting professionals experienced in Adventure Park design to provide planning and design services for a state-of-the-art BMX and Skate Adventure Park for all types of use including, skateboards, in-line skates, BMX bicycles, and other appropriate non-motorized wheeled sports equipment.
