Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the renewal with the City of Orlando Contract #IFB20-0379 for the supply of liquid chlorine cylinders from Brenntag Mid-South, Inc.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the renewal of Amendment #2 to Contract #20200107.
2. Move that the Council not approve Amendment #2 to Contract #20200107 and provide staff with direction.
Background: Liquid Chlorine is a compound used at the City's Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities for the disinfectant of treated water. As per State regulations, maintaining a chlorine residual in water is mandatory for public health and safety. The City, by and through its Utility Systems Department, uses approximately four hundred and seventy-five (475) tons per year.
