Executive Summary (General Business): Declaring the department item as surplus property will allow staff to auction the equipment via the online auction system.
Presentation Information: N/A.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the declaration of the surplus item represented in the attached for auction.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the sale of Auction #3250019- 2000 Case L-580 Loader Backhoe.
2. Move that the Council not approve the auction and provide staff with direction.
Background: Policy #19-01 for capital assets states: The City Manager or designee shall be authorized to approve all sales where the net revenue to the City does not exceed $15,000. All sales exceeding $15,000 in net revenue to the City will be approved by City Council, prior to completing the sale or conducting the sales event. All approvals are attached.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has completed the Relinquish Surplus form and recommends approval.
Financial Information: Selling the current equipment will result in revenue for the city.
