Background: On August 26, 2024, at a regular City Council meeting, the Council approved Resolution 24-R59, which made housekeeping changes to the boards and committees rules and procedures. Some of these changes include clarifying the role of alternate board members and providing for a staggered board term, which prevents complete turnover of boards at the end of terms. Members shall be grouped into classes which indicates the length of their term for the first set of terms. All changes to the boards and committees which impacts the Planning and Zoning Board shall be discussed during this item.
