Summary Brief (General Business): G. Callas LLC, owner of 1241, 1233, 1225, 1217, 1209 SW Alesio Lane; 2718 SW East Calabria Circle; 1208, 1220, 1226, 1232, SW Gatlin Blvd., Port St. Lucie, Florida, is requesting to abandon the existing twenty (20) foot wide rear utility and drainage easements as well the side utility and drainage easements in order to combine the lots to facilitate the construction of commercial buildings and a pavement area.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve to abandon all the existing twenty (20) foot rear utility and drainage easements located at 1241, 1233, 1225, 1217, 1209 SW Alesio Lane; 2718 SW East Calabria Circle; 1208, 1220, 1226, 1232 SW Gatlin Blvd.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the abandonment of the easements.
2. Move that the Council not approve the abandonment and provide staff direction.

Background: Lots 16 through 27, Block 1388, Section Fourteen, contain twenty (20) foot wide utility easements, recorded in Official Records Book 4479, Pages 30, 46, 48, 50, 52, 56, 58, 62, 64 of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida. The lots are being combined for commercial development, and the approved site and construction plans show two (2) commercial buildings and a pavement area to be constructed within the existing easements.
