Executive Summary (General Business): Staff from the Neighborhood Services Department will provide an overview of Florida House Bills pertaining to Affordable Housing that were discussed as part of the 2026 Florida Legislative Session.

Background: The Florida Legislature meets annually for a 60-day regular session. A variety of topics, including housing issues, are being discussed at this year’s session.
Issues/Analysis: The Florida Legislature approved SB594, which was signed into law by Governor DeSantis and took effect on July 1, 2026.
