Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)
1. Prepared by: Robyn Holder, CPPB (PMD).
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Diamondback Airboats
3. Purpose: To provide safe access to monitor and inspect the City's vast stormwater network and structures.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: Initial contract term was 3/30/2017 through 3/29/2022. The first renewal has been exercised to extend the contract to 3/29/2027.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: To have a means to rescue residents that may become trapped during flooding conditions and provide a safer means for our employees to work while in the water.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): One-time expense of $91,205.27. Future maintenance expenditures will be included in the Department's operating expenses.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council waive the bidding, per Chapter 35.04(c), good cause shown, and approve participating in the Florida Sheriff's Program #1122 utilizing GSA Contract #GS-07F-090GA to purchase an air boat and trailer from Diamondback Airboats.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve participating in the Florida Sheriff's Program #1122 utilizing GSA Contract #GS-07F-090GA.
2. Move that the Council not approve participating in this contract and provide staff with direction.
