Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Contract #20240006 and waive bidding per Chapter 35.08(c), for good cause shown, and enter into a 1-year agreement with Service King Incorporated.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve Contract #20240006 with Service King Incorporated.
2. Move that the Council not approve Contract #20240006 with Service King Incorporated and provide staff with direction.

Background: The City has been utilizing its current vendor for janitorial services since the contract was put in place on September 17, 2001. Service King, Incorporated has continued to provide the services to clean all City Facilities. Amendment #32 was previously presented to Council on April 24, 2023 to add additional services. However, during the meeting, the Amendment was removed prior to the approval of the Consent Agenda. That original Contract has recently expired on September 30, 2023.
