Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)
1. Prepared by: Elizabeth Hertz, Senior Deputy City Attorney, Office of the City Attorney.
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Mattamy Palm Beach, LLC.
3. Purpose: Mattamy requests authorization to proceed with the construction of the improvements contemplated by the Stars and Stripes Site Plan (P22-195), as approved by the City of Port St. Lucie City Council on November 13, 2023.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New Agreement.
5. Duration: 18 months from date of construction commencement.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The Stars and Stripes Park will enrich the cultural and artistic ambiance of the City generally and enhance the immediate geographic area in which the improvements will be constructed. It will improve the Parks and Recreation 10-Year Master Plan level of service (LOS) and the City's initiative to provide parks within a 10-minute walk for residents of Port St Lucie.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): Annual Operating and Maintenance Cost estimate to include one FTE = $140,350.00.
