Executive Summary (General Business): The purpose of this Resolution is to enter into a Construction Agreement which allows for sidewalk improvements to be constructed on SW Galiano Road within the Limited Access Right-of-Way of Interstate 95.

Presentation Information: N/A

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Resolution.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the resolution.
2. Move that the Council not approve the Resolution and provide staff direction.

Background: SW Galiano Road/SW Savage Boulevard is constructed under the overpass of Interstate 95 adjacent the C-24 Canal connecting the Hidden Oaks and the Fairgreen Crossings neighborhoods. The area under the overpass lies within FDOT's Limited Access (LA) Right-of-Way (r/w) for Interstate 95. The City, if this item is approved, will act as the construction coordinator.

Issues/Analysis: Staff has coordinated with the Florida Department of Transportation to minimize the impact of the LA r/w resulting in the Construction Agreement which allows the City to occupy 6-feet of the LA r/w for the sidewalk improvements.

Financial Information: There is no financial impact to the City. The City is exempt from the insurance requirements as it is a governmental entity.
