Executive Summary (General Business): Presentation of the 2023 Public Sector Human Resources Association ("PSHRA") Agency Award for Excellence - Small Agency to the City of Port St. Lucie Human Resources Department.

Presentation Information: A brief presentation highlighting several of the Human Resources initiatives and accomplishments included with the nomination shall be provided to Council.

Staff Recommendation: Request that the Council acknowledge the efforts of the City's Human Resources Department.

Background: The City of Port St. Lucie Human Resources Department has been awarded the prestigious 2023 Agency Award for Excellence - Small Agency recipient from the Public Sector Human Resources Association (PSHRA). The PSHRA Agency Award for Excellence recognizes the quality, accomplishments, and contributions of an outstanding agency human resource program. Annual awards are based on agency workforce size; the Small Agency Award is presented to an agency of up to 1,999 employees.

The PSHRA established this award to recognize the overall quality, accomplishments, and contributions of an agency human resource program that exceeds the normal operation of a "good government human resource program." The awards are based on the lenses and focus areas contained in the HR 20/20 Report: The IPMA-HR Guide to Transformative HR released in 2020.
