Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Amendment #1 to Contract #20220040 for the Glades to Tradition Reuse Water Main Construction Project with Felix Associates of Florida, Inc.

2. Move that the Council not approve Amendment #1 to Contract #20220040 and provide staff with direction.
Background: The City Council awarded Contract #20220040 to Felix Associates of Florida, Inc. on June 13, 2022. From the time the construction start date was established, Tradition Parkway was extended through the project site, requiring a modification to the Contract. By changing the installation method from the open-cut method to the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) method, the impacts to the residents and the newly constructed Tradition Parkway extension will be reduced.
