Executive Summary (General Business): This is a request to change the future land use designation of a 0.689-acre portion of a property from Commercial General (CG) to a split designation of Light Industrial (LI)/Service Commercial (CS) for the purpose of providing consistency of the designation with the remaining portion of the property.

Presentation Information: Staff may make a brief presentation.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment to change the future land use designation from CG to LI/CS.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approval of the amended Comprehensive Plan Amendment.
2. Move that the Council deny the Comprehensive Plan Amendment.

Background: On June 7, 2022, the Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the Comprehensive Plan Map amendment.

The subject property has an existing school use, approved via P93-035 and amended/expanded by P00-204. A prior small scale future land use map amendment (P99-152) changed the property from LI/CS to General Commercial in order to meet the needs of the school use.
