Executive Summary: Proposed amendment to Code 155 Sign Code to add Public (City) Electric Message Monument Signs and updates for clarification on existing code.

 

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board recommend approval.

1.                     Move that the Board amend the recommendation and recommend approval.

2.                     Move that the Board recommend denial and provide explanation.

 

Background: The City has several public sites and there has been a need for signs that can provide public messages for each site. The City has several message signs at specific corners around the city that are banners and must be ordered, made, and switched out for each message. The update will allow electronic signs that may be changed to provide several different public messages and information.
