Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)
1. Prepared by: Robyn Holder, CPPB (PMD).
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Brenntag Mid-South, Inc.
3. Purpose: To provide chlorine for use in the treatment of potable water and wastewater.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: From execution of the contract through January 14, 2028, with two (2) additional one-year renewal terms.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Utilize the City of Hollywood's contract to procure liquid chlorine at a lower rate. Liquid chlorine is an essential product in the treatment process and ensures the City's Utility Systems Department ("USD") Is able to provide quality potable water and reuse water to USD's customers.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): Estimated annual expenditure is $770,390.00 ($1,879.00 per ton) plus a contingency of 10% of $77,039.00 for an estimated annual total of $847,429.00. All future expenditures will be appropriated in each annual budget that is approved by City Council; therefore, no further Council action is required.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve, per Chapter 35.08(a)(10)(b) (piggyback exception to formal bidding), to participate in the City of Hollywood's Contract resulting from IFB-243-25-JJ ("City of Hollywood Contract"), for the Supply of Liquid Chlorine in one-ton cylinders with Brenntag Mid-South, Inc.
