Executive Summary: The applicant is requesting a variance from Section 3.0.8. of the City of Port St. Lucie City Wide Design Standards Manual to allow for garage doors to face both SW Gatlin Boulevard and SW Import Drive. The applicant is proposing to develop a car wash. The first door (garage door #1), which faces SW Gatlin Boulevard, is intended to provide ventilation to any employees that may be working in the tunnel during business hours. The second door (garage door #2), which faces SW Import Drive, is for vehicle access.
