6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: This Contract is for the development of the Wilderness Trail that directly supports the City's Strategic Plan - Goal 6: Culture, Nature, and Fun Activities by expanding access to high-quality recreational amenities within Wilderness Park.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): $1,979,359.30 plus a City-owned Contingency of $98,967.97 for a total of $2,078,327.27.

Background: The Wilderness Trail Construction Project was developed to enhance recreation and connectivity within The Port District. The project includes construction of a 2.1-mile, 10-foot-wide concrete multi-use trail, along with drainage improvements, utilities, landscaping, and installation of park amenities such as benches, signage, and a pavilion with restrooms.
