Strategic Plan Link: The City's Goal of high-quality infrastructure and facilities.

Executive Summary (General Business): The owners of the real property located at 2181 SW Kail Street have agreed to sell the property to the City, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the As Is Residential Contract that is being submitted to the City Council for approval.

Presentation Information: Staff will be available to answer questions.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve of the Resolution authorizing the acquisition of real property located at 2181 SW Kail Street, for the future expansion of the City's Police Department Complex.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Resolution authorizing the acquisition.
2. Move that the Council not approve the acquisition and provide staff direction.

Background: Property is adjacent to the City Hall complex, specifically backing Police Department buildings, situated on the corner of Kail Street and Thanksgiving Avenue behind the new Police Training Facility construction site.

Issues/Analysis: As the City continues to grow, the Police Department finds itself in need of additional spaces for use and development. The purchase of this property is both strategically prudent and fiscally advantageous in consideration of future usages.
