Executive Summary (General Business): This Resolution will enable the construction of a sidewalk along NW Curtis Street utilizing LAP and City funds which are budgeted in the Road and Bridge Capital Improvement Program. The sidewalk will have an anticipated useful life of 30 years.
Presentation Information: N/A
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Resolution allowing execution of a Local Agency Program Agreement.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Local Agency Program Agreement.
2. Move that the Council not approve the Local Agency Program Agreement and provide staff direction.
Background: The City was awarded funding from FDOT for the construction of a 6-foot wide sidewalk along NW Curtis Street between NW Prima Vista Boulevard and NW Floresta Drive. This sidewalk is included in the City's Ten-Year Sidewalk Master Plan (FY 18/19-FY 27/28)
Issues/Analysis: The Resolution authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a LAP Agreement with FDOT and authorizes City Staff to take actions necessary to implement the terms and conditions of the agreement.
Financial Information: The estimated construction cost of the project is $548,657.00. The total LAP Agreement is in the amount of $325,396.00.
