Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)
1. Prepared by: Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie ("Grantee") and the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection ("FDEP").
3. Purpose: Request ratification of Change Order #1 (Extension of Task Timelines within the Agreement) and of Amendment #1 (Extension of Agreement Deadline) with FDEP for McCarty Ranch Water Quality Restoration Area 7A Design. These signatures need to be completed by both parties prior to April 30, 2025.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: The Grant Agreement expires April 30, 2025. With the approval of this amendment, the expiration date will be extended to December 31, 2026.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The City will complete the design and permitting for the water storage and treatment basin in the area known as Area 7A.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The Grant amount is $416,875.00.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council Ratify the execution of Change Order #1 by the Project Manager and Ratify the execution of Amendment #1 to Grant Agreement LPA0369 with the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection ("FDEP") for the Design and Permitting of McCarty Ranch Water Quality Restoration Area 7A by the City Manager, and authorize the City Manager to execute any future amendments to the same, on behalf of the City.
