2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Hinterland Group, LLC.
3. Purpose: The objective of this project is to rehabilitate deteriorating stormwater infrastructure throughout the City of Port St. Lucie ("City"). By addressing failing stormwater pipes, the initiative aims to restore system integrity, improve drainage efficiency, and reduce the risk of flooding and environmental damage. This proactive approach supports the City's commitment to maintaining resilient public infrastructure and safeguarding community health and property.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: This contract shall remain in full force and effect through and including September 30, 2026, with option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms, at the same prices, terms, and conditions, by mutual consent.
6. Benefits to the City: This project will significantly extend the functional lifespan of the City's aging stormwater infrastructure-adding an estimated 50 years or more to the service life of rehabilitated pipes. By proactively addressing deterioration, the City will reduce the frequency and cost of emergency repairs, improve system reliability, and enhance resilience against flooding and environmental impacts.
7. Cost to the City (Annual and Potential): Estimated annual expenditure is $1,000,000.00. Future expenditures will be appropriated in each fiscal year.
