Executive Summary: This is a request grant a variance from the City of Port St. Lucie Citywide Design Standards manual to maintain a positive red color on the metal roll up doors and cornices, as well as a commodore blue color on the metal roof trims and gutters of an existing self-storage facility (see Figure 1a and 1b). The City of Port St. Lucie Citywide Design Standards manual requires that exterior colors used by commercial buildings be selected from the Approved Color Chart found in the manual, whereas the applicant is proposing a red and blue color that is not in the color chart.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board review the application and vote to approve, approve with conditions, or deny the variance request.
