3. Purpose: Installation and/or repair of vehicle emergency equipment for Public Safety vehicles.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: The initial term began on May 10, 2018 through May 9, 2021. A renewal for one year began on May 10, 2021 through May 9, 2022. There is one (1) 1-year renewal remaining ending on May 9, 2023.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Allows the City to purchase and install vehicle emergency equipment for the Public Safety vehicles.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): Estimated Annual Expenditures for the install of Vehicle Emergency Equipment will be approximately $400,431.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council waive the bidding, per Chapter 35.04(c), good cause shown, and approve participating in the Sheriff of Broward County's Contract for the supplying and installing and/or repair of vehicle emergency equipment for Public Safety Vehicles with Strobes-R-Us, Inc. and Spartan Upfit Services, Inc.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve participating in the Sheriff of Broward County's contract.
2. Move that the Council not approve participating in the Sheriff of Broward County's Contract and provide staff with direction.
