3. Purpose: To amend and restate the 2003 Interlocal Agreement for the Municipal Services Taxing Unit (MSTU), which established a funding mechanism for Public Transit within St. Lucie County.

5. Duration: Twenty (20) years, with the option for termination.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Providing a funding mechanism for public transit infrastructure and services with the City.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The MSTU establishes an ad valorem tax rate to levy on all properties County wide.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an Interlocal Agreement between St. Lucie County and the City of Port St. Lucie for amending and restating the Municipal Services Taxing Unit.

1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an Interlocal Agreement between St. Lucie County and the City of Port St. Lucie for amending and restating the Municipal Services Taxing Unit.
