Discuss and Provide Feedback on St. Lucie County Public Transit System’s Rebranding Strategy
body
Submitted By: Clyde Cuffy, Public Works
Strategic Plan Link: The City's Vision for convenient transportation.
Executive Summary (General Business): St. Lucie County Transit Division has embarked on a rebranding exercise to create a name for the transit system that reflects the nature of the system and is identified as a core element of the community's identity.
Presentation Information: A five-minute presentation will be provided by St. Lucie County Transit Division.
Staff Recommendation: Request that the Council view the presentation and provide comments. Alternate Recommendation: Request that the Council provide direction.
Background: The Public Transit System has previously operated under two (2) different names, Treasure Coast Connector and Community Transit. These names were more than adequate when the system was initiated back in 2002 and operated on a smaller scale. With the addition of the micro-transit aspect it has become apparent that the transit system needs an inclusive and easily recognizable brand. St. Lucie County Transit is soliciting feedback on the proposed brand from area municipalities and the Board of County Commissioners before finalizing the new brand.
Issues/Analysis: County staff seeks feedback from Council in order to finalize the rebrand.
Financial Information: St. Lucie County Transit is funding the rebranding effort.
