6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: This easement allows FPL to install and maintain underground electrical service lines to provide power for building infrastructure.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): There is no cost to the City for the conveyance of this easement.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Ordinance (25-36), authorizing the Mayor or her designee to execute the easement to FPL.

1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve Ordinance (25-36), authorizing the Mayor or her designee to execute the easement to FPL.
2. Move that the Council not approve Ordinance (25-36) and provide staff with direction.
Background: H.J. High Construction is currently constructing the Police Training Facility in the City Municipal Complex for the City. An easement is needed for underground electrical service lines to be provided.
Issues/Analysis: If the City does not approve this conveyance, the City will have to find an alternative power source location.
