Executive Summary: This is a request to change a duplicate street name, SW Pietra Way, within the Verano Development to SW Macelli Way.

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board recommend approval.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Board amend the recommendation and recommend approval.
2. Move that the Board recommend denial.

Background: This is a request to change a duplicate street name within the Verano Development. The street name of SW Pietra Way was used on the plats for two different road rights-of-way. Plat P21-154 Verano South PUD 1-Pod E-Plat No. 2 and plat P20-157 Verano South PUD 1-Pod G-Plat No. 1 both included a street named Pietra Way. The applicant has requested to change the name within the Verano South PUD 1-POD G-Plat No. 1 plat to eliminate the duplicate street name. The section of the street currently named SW Pietra Way is proposed to be changed to SW Macelli Way. This change affects 57 residential lot addresses, Lots 40-96 of Plat Verano South PUD 1-Pod G-Plat No. 1.

Issues/Analysis: St. Lucie County has approved the name of Macelli Way street name to be used within the Verano Development. It is currently the approved name of the continuing circle to the east of Pietra Way and indicated on the plat. If City Council is in agreement with the proposed name change, St. Lucie County will be notified. The Board of County Commissioners will then approve the change by resolution. After the resolution is approved the County will notify all public safety offices, the post office, and update the St. Lucie County mapping systems.
