Executive Summary (General Business): RPS Academy is hosting the Port St. Lucie Open at their Port St. Lucie facility on November 28th, through December 6th, 2026, which will be open to the public.
Presentation Information: Sandy Mittleman, Lead Tennis Advisor and Michael Jones, Chief Marketing Officer, will be in attendance and available to answer any questions.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council find that promotion of the Port St. Lucie Open Tennis Event serves a valid public and/or municipal purpose and approve the applicant’s sponsorship request.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the sponsorship request.
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.
Background: RPS Academy has requested that the City share their event information on the City’s social media page(s).
Financial Information: Nominal use of City staff and equipment to promote requested awareness on the City’s social media page(s).
Special Consideration: Communications has been notified about this request.
