Strategic Plan Link: The City's Mission to plan for smart and balanced growth.

Executive Summary (General Business): Grace Lutheran Church is proposing to add a 6,129 sq. ft. building to be used for an Alzheimer's day care and for church meetings and offices. There is an existing 4,944 sq. ft. church building on the site currently.

Presentation Information: Staff may provide a presentation.

Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Major Site Plan amendment for Grace Lutheran Church as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Major Site Plan amendment for Grace Lutheran Church.
2. Move that the Council not approve and provide staff direction.

Background: The Planning and Zoning Board unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Major Site Plan Amendment on August 6, 2019. The Site Plan Review Committee (SPRC) reviewed the request on June 12, 2019, and recommended approval with comments.

Financial Information: N/A

Special Consideration: The applicant is also requesting a Landscape Modification to substitute landscaping on the north and south sides of the property in place of an architectural wall. A separate Landscape Modification application is on the Meeting Agenda this evening for consideration.

Location of Project: The property is located on the east side of SW Cashmere Blvd., south of St. Lucie West Blvd., and north of SW Heatherwood Blvd. The address is 555 SW Cashmere Boulevard.
