Executive Summary (General Business): Discuss the most recent information received from Federal Department of Transportation (FDOT) on the proposed Turnpike interchange, its potential impact on site use, and current status of the Adventure Park.

Presentation Information: The Parks & Recreation Department (P&R) will provide a brief visual presentation to City Council.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council Move that the Council approve moving forward with a Master Plan for the 38.93-acre Cameo/Crosstown site.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve moving forward with a Master Plan for a portion of the Cameo/Crosstown Site.
2. Move that the Council not approve moving forward with a Master Plan at the Cameo/Crosstown Site and provide staff direction.

Background: The City's adopted Strategic Plan, Goal 6, Culture Nature and Fun Activities, includes the planning and construction of an Adventure Park for all types of possible uses, including skateboards, in-line skates, BMX bicycles, and other appropriate non-motorized wheeled sports equipment. Designs, including a rock wall, playground, ropes agility courses, ziplines, standing wave rides or other "adventure" recreation elements, appropriately suited for such a park, would be encouraged. In September 2017, City staff identified the site that was approved as the future location of this park. After much research and consideration throughout the procurement process, it was determined that a Master Plan developed with public input would be the best course of action at this time.
